John King Piano Studio
 
Jennifer Paulino, soprano, and John King, piano, will perform a lively and rhythmically playful new vocal work by Lansing McLoskey, with texts by Javen Tanner, at the 9th Annual Festival of Contemporary Music. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at the San Francisco Community Music Center, located at 544 Capp Street.

John will continue to entertain the dinner crowds at the Oberon Grill, located at 516 2nd Street in Eureka, through July and August. He will perform every Friday from 7-9:30 p.m.
 
On the first Saturday of each month, Eureka's downtown hosts a musical celebration. Many of the shops in downtown Eureka feature live music. During July's Arts Alive! celebration, on July 2, John will perform as a solo pianist from 6:30 to 9:30 at Bon Boniere Ice Cream, 215 F street, Eureka. 
 
John will play from 7 to 9 on Friday, July 1st, at the Oberon Grill in Eureka. It is his first gig in Humboldt County. Playing solo piano, he will compliment the dinner crowd with his own rendition of many jazz standards. Requests accepted!
 
Come listen to John play keyboard with City Swing Big Band this Friday at the San Francisco Yoshi's. City Swing will be playing in the lounge starting around 9:00 pm to midnight, $10 at the door. Under the direction of Mr. Bradley Connlain, FEATURING MS. JOYCE GRANT ON VOCALS.

Since 1984, City Swing, an 18-piece big band, has dazzled audiences and dancers by bringing to life the sounds of big band jazz. City Swing has cherry picked the best charts from the books of swing era greats like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton and

Glen Miller.
 
Under Ajayi's baton, John King will be closing the 11th annual Malcolm X Music and Art Festival, with a great dance troupe and a host of good musicians. The act will go onstage at San Antonio Park, Oakland, around 6:30 pm, on May 21, 2011.

During the summer of 2010, John played at La Mamounia, one of the top-rated hotels in Africa, located in Marrakesh, Morocco.
 
John's newest project, the Ben Flax Band, just launched a website! Check it out, and listen to some of their original songs (and John on piano/keyboards).
